Julie was born in Maidenhead in England in 1965. She moved to Ireland in 1976 and returned England in 1982 for third level education.
She graduated from Exeter College of Art and Design with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 1988.
She currently lives and works from her studio in Gowran, Co. Kilkenny.
Her work is in collections around the world. She has received numerous prestigous awards including the Hopewire Award and the 2010 Artlinks award.
Predominantly a figurative artist, concentrating on the male nude, Julie has established a name for herself as an artist with the ability to combine classical beauty with thought-provoking contemporary subject matter.
